Mickey Long is a field biologist and environmental consultant. Mickey retired in 2010 as director of the County’s 19 Natural Areas and Nature Centers, for the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. He is a Zoology / Animal Biology graduate of California State University Los Angeles and a frequent contributor to iNaturalist.
